Kid Kamp

our second annual Kid Kamp was held last week at my house and my talented sisters and I found enough things to do each and every day to fill their time.......we are so glad it was last week instead of the upcoming one with predicted temps of over a hundred...whew!....kids were great and we had fun too....we began each day with a reading by Amy and ended each day with the kids putting entries in their journals created by Gail...in between we planted hens and chicks, made a necklace, had a treasure hunt, created headbands, dug in the dirt, ran thru the sprinklers and ate.......loved it!!!

Garlic harvest

Grandsons helped grandpa harvest the garlic, but first they had to check the raspberries. They are not quite ripe, so on to the digging.

Things are growing

It has finally gotten warm here in our valley...too warm for me....but that heat is what makes things grow  too.....my little 44x47 inch box gave me three big bunches of radishes and now I have replanted those two rows with beets and carrots....the kohlrabi is about to begin to form heads and carrots are growing...nice little bush cucumbers in two corners.........
